Role Overview
We are hiring Solar Designers to join our on-site team in Gurgaon. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in solar electrical interconnection, manual drafting, and electrical load calculations—especially within the U.S. solar market (residential or commercial).
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and NEC-compliant solar permit designs using AutoCAD
- Design and validate solar electrical interconnection diagrams per project requirements
- Perform manual drafting and electrical calculations to ensure load, capacity, and safety compliance
- Interpret client inputs, utility guidelines, and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements
- Coordinate with internal QA, engineering, and project teams for timely deliveries
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and turnaround time
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in U.S. solar permit design (residential/commercial)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of NEC codes and S. electrical standards
- Experience in solar electrical interconnection, one-line diagrams, and site plan layouts
- Strong grip on manual drafting and electrical load calculations
- Education: ITI / Diploma / BE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience with QCEL systems is a strong plus
